Obituary for Myrna Bott Dighton -Myrna C. Bott, 89, died on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Twin Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lansing, Kansas. She was born on February 28, 1929 in Ness County, Kansas, the daughter of Cecil and Cleo (Litchfield) Walters. She married Donald L. Zenor on August 17,1956 at Garden City.

He died on October 18, 1973. She married Carl K. Bott on May 12, 1984 at Dighton. He died on September 16, 2016.

She was a member of both the Dighton United Methodist Church, where she served as Treasurer, and Job’s Daughters. Myrna graduated from Beeler High School. After high school she attended Salt City Business College in Hutchinson and received an Associate Degree.

Myrna began working at Lane Scott Electric in 1954 and retired as office manager in 1994. She was co-owner of Niles-Zenor Funeral Home with Don. As a young girl Myrna lived on a farm in Ness County and then moved to Beeler.

Later she moved to Dighton. Myrna loved farming activities her entire life; especially harvest time on Carl’s farm in Rush County. For the past 4 years she has lived in Leavenworth and Lansing.

She is survived by her Daughter- Connie and Jeff Baxter of Leavenworth, 3 Grandchildren Dustin Baxter of Lawrence, Tara and Trent Talley of Ft. Leavenworth and Olivia and Kenny of Natelli McGuire, Air Force Base, New Jersey, Sister- Veta and Arthur Sigler of Los Angeles, California. 4 Great-Grandchildren, Step-Daughter Avalon and Mike White of Weatherford, Texas, Step-Son Lynn and Debbie Bott of Lawrence, 4 Step-Grandchildren, 8 Step-Great-Grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Dighton United Methodist Church with Rev. Berniece Ludlum officiating. Burial will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery.
