Obituary for Myrna Lorraine Mills (Newberry) Myrna Lorraine Mills, 79, of Lock Haven, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport. She was born in Lock Haven on November 6, 1938, the daughter of the late Floyd and Gladys Perry Newberry. Myrna was a 1958 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
On November 14, 1959 in Lock Haven, she married Albert L. “Jack” Mills, Jr., whom survives. Myrna was employed at Bobbie Brooks earlier in her life. She then worked at Woolrich Woolen Mills for many years until her retirement.
She was a lifetime member of the Salvation Army Church of Lock Haven. Myrna enjoyed camping, sewing, bingo and her beloved dogs. Most of all, she loved the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Albert L. “Jr”. Mills, Jr. of Lock Haven; two daughters, Tammy L. (Jeff) Neff of Castanea and Paula M. Curtis of Lock Haven; three sisters, Pauline Ammerman, Beverly Grassmier and Doris Merrifield; six grandchildren, Tara (Dave) Peters, Nichole (John) Risbon, Shawn Mills, Brandi Jo Mills, Jonathon F. Curtis and Jared L. (Christina) Curtis; and eight great grandchildren, Demareon, Daevon, Skye, Jaden, Jaimelyn, Autumn, Carley and Jullien. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Floyd Newberry, Jr., Donald “Gene” Newberry, Carole Culvey, Judith Englert and Phillip Newberry; a daughter-in-law, Becky Mills Kinley; and a great grandchild, Rhage Mills.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 11a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745 with Major Sharon Cupp officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven. Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 to 8p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Lock Haven Salvation Army Church.
