Myrtle Prater Vaughn, 92, of Hampton Cove, formerly of Gadsden, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019. She was born in Fort Payne on March 3, 1926 to the late Jesse and Edna Foy Prater. Mrs. Vaughn was a retired school bus driver from Coosa Christian and was a member of The Church at Wills Creek in Gadsden.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Walkers Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Huntsville Hospital Family Hospice. She is survived by her children Theone (Candido) Brionez, Sherry Higgins, Martha Rogers, and Marcelle (Vinit) Mahesh; grandchildren, Eric Brionez, Kartr Higgins, Karl Higgins, Aleta Davis, Joshua Rogers, Paul Rogers, Mark Rogers, Tommy Mahesh, Benjamin Mahesh, Kellyn Wilson, and Jenneca Mahesh; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
