Nancy’s Obituary Nancy Kay Boren, 69, of Troy, passed away on March 29, 2019. She was born on May 15, 1949, in Malden, MO. She was raised by her loving parents, James, and Sybil Myers.

Nancy attended the local schools, and later High School, where she was a baton twirler. After graduation she went to school to learn teletype. It was at this time she met the love of her life, Gary Boren.

The two were married, January 30, 1976, in St. Louis, MO. The happy couple was blessed with two beautiful little girls, Jennifer and Andrea. Nothing made Nancy happier then to care for her husband and children.

When the girls were little, every Friday night, the family would load up in the car and head to Elsberry, to the auction. Nancy loved to go antiquing, and to garage sales, and thrift stores. She also loved animals and volunteered for 20 years at P.A.L.S, the no-kill animal shelter.

Nancy worked as a clerk at the Recorder of Deeds office in the Lincoln County Court house for 15 years. She was a hard worker, but also kind and made many friends there over the years. Nancy was a loving, compassionate person and will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Gary Boren of Troy, her daughters: Jennifer Rosemann and her husband, Jason of St. Charles, MO, Andrea Bollinger and her husband Greg, of Warrenton, and two granddaughters: Alyssa and Kaylee Rosemann, and two sisters: Shirley Wheeler of Fort Myers , FL, and Mary Shrum of Lufkin, TX, as well as many other relatives and friends.
