NANCY L. HERMAN (formerly Nancy Peters) Mrs. Nancy Herman passed away early Sunday morning, April 8, 2018, at The Waterford of West Bend where she had resided for the last 5 years. She was 78 years old. Nancy was born in West Bend on March 30, 1940, daughter of Chester and Audrey (nee Dean) Birzer.

She was united in marriage with Robert Peters on December 10, 1960 at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend. The couple settled in West Bend and raised their family that included eleven children. … Read More » In 1983 Nancy also adopted Bradley Schloemer.

She later married Howard Herman on March 12, 1999 at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Saukville. The couple lived in Cedarburg until Howard preceded her in death. Nancy had been a Century 21 realtor in Washington County for many years, earning a spot in the Million Dollar Club.

She also owned many businesses, including the Longhorn Saloon in Lebanon, where she was known for her chili and fish frys. She enjoyed antiquing and crafting, taking care of flowers in her garden, listening to country music and the companionship of her dogs (especially Dakota). Most of all, Nancy loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by daughters Julie (Dale) Becker of Neshkoro, Lori (Andy) Blada of Brownsville, Penny (Keith) Dotzler of West Bend and Amy Schmidt, also of West Bend, sons Scott (Amy) Peters of West Bend, Mark (Andrea) Peters of Juneau and Bradley (Ashlee) Schloemer of Minnesota. She is further survived by 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, sister Sandy (the late Doug) Fischer of Reedsville, former husband Robert Peters of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including extra-special friend Bonnie Miller of Milwaukee. Nancy is preceded in death by her daughters Robin, Tami Jo, and Renee (the late Mark) Kuehl, sons Randy and Robert Jr., grandson Blake Peters and dear friend Allen Tackes.

Funeral Services will be held at 1PM on Friday, April 13th at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave. , Port Washington. Rev.

Linda Westphal-Buth will preside. Nancy will be laid to rest in Waubeka Union Cemetery beside her husband following the service. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Friday from 11AM until time of service at 1PM.
