Nellie Dora DeSantis, age 90 a resident of Pine View Commons and formerly of Gloversville died Friday February 1, 2019 at the Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. She was born in Fonda, NY on March 26, 1928. The daughter of the late Joseph and Harriet Horning DeSantis.

She was self-employed as a beautician (Nellie Dee’s) in Gloversville for many years. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Gloversville. Survivors include her brother Richard DeSantis of Indiana.

Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive her. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph DeSantis Jr. and her sisters; Theresa Crucetti, Mary Frascatore, Margaret DeSantis, and Gloria Peters. Family and friends are invited to visitation at the Gloversville Funeral Home on Wednesday February 6, 2019 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday February 6, 2019 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 153 S. Main Street Gloversville at 12 Noon. Burial will be held in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Holy Spirit.
