Norma “Jane” DeMoss died at home Friday (June 8, 2018) in Mahomet with family at her side. She was 75 years old. Mrs. DeMoss was born in Oakland on July 21, 1942, to her parents, George and Lois Herrington.

She married Paul DeMoss on Dec. 15, 2007. Paul and Jane enjoyed spending time with family in their home.

Jane enjoyed cooking and having family dinners several times a week. Jane enjoyed playing bingo and frequenting garage sales. Jane’s passion was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed teaching them how to cook and always believed in having fun, regardless of the mess that was made. Jane is survived by her husband, Paul Demoss; daughters, Rebecca Williams and Trina Ard; sons, John, Leslie and George Williams; brother, Terry Herrington; sister, Ruth Tresner; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lois Herrington Hall; stepfather, Joe Hall; four brothers, Donald, Russell, Darrel and Larry Herrington; twin sister, Wilma Jean McCoy; and grandson, Andrew Ard.

Jane’s celebration of life service will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at First Baptist Church, 402 S. Elm St., Mahomet. Final resting place will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.
