She was born March 6, 1940 in Perry County, MO daughter of Arthur and Blanche (Niswonger) Markham. She and Meredith Bert were married.

He preceded her in death. She and Henry Griner were married in March 1986. He preceded her in death on May 7, 2011.

Norma had been a beautician. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Perryville, MO. Survivors include three sons, Jerry (Sandy) Bert and Neil (Roxanne) Bert all of Perryville and Shane (Pam) Bert of St. Mary; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and two sons, Robert and Brian Bert. Visitation will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 2 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and on Thursday, January 3 from 6:30 to 8:30 am. She will then be taken to United Methodist Church for services at 10:00 am with Rev.

Kevin Barron officiating. Burial in the Home Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to United Methodist Church Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville, MO provided the arrangements.
