Norman Eugene Rogers, 83, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. Mr. Rogers was born October 4, 1935 in Cabarrus County to the late Henderson Hal Rogers and the late Zola Mae Rogers. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly R. Pennington.

Norman was an Eagle Scout earning the Order of the Arrow and a veteran of the US Army. He was a car enthusiast and had cars published in many major magazines. Norman was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Albemarle having served as a Deacon and an Elder.

A memorial service will be on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 3:00PM at First Presbyterian Church of Albemarle, 126 W. North Street, officiated by Rev. Elizabeth Ayscue. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.

Survivors include wife, Peggy Eagle Rogers of Albemarle; son, Rex A. (Mary Park) Rogers of Greensboro; grandchildren, Carson, Sarah Worth, and Banks Rogers; brother, John W. (Barbara) Rogers of Richfield; and niece, Leigh Rogers of Atlanta, GA. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Rogers family.
