Delbruegge, Novella, of High Ridge, Missouri, was born February 25, 1933, in Belle, Missouri to Marcellus M. and Sophia (nee Phelps) Miller and entered into rest Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in her home at the age of 86 years, 2 months and 19 days. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Johnnie Hue Smith, her granddaughter, Dana McDonald, her siblings, Rhoda Jett, Lillian Hassler, Ruth Vogt, Chesley Miller, Cleo Miller and Nola Youngman. She is survived by, her loving husband of 62 years, Richard Delbruegge, three (3) children, Perry R. (Michelle) Delbruegge of Fenton, Missouri, Tammy Delbruegge of High Ridge, Missouri and Allen Delbruegge of Fenton, Missouri, three (3) grandchildren, Brad Smith, Melissa Smith and Codi (Clay) Rohrer, nine (9) great grandchildren, Patrick, Daniel, Tyler, Paige, Makayla, Brooke, Madison, Luke and Whitney, four (4) great great granddaughters, four (4) siblings, Oneta Hassler of Roleigh, North Carolina, Lola Hayes of Eureka, Missouri, Bill Miller of Bella, Missouri and Jim Peth-Miller Hazelwood, Missouri, along with many other family and friends.

Novella lost her mother at the age of two and her sister Lillian stepped up and raised her. They had a special bond. Novella met and married the love of her life Richard in 1957.

They had a family and were founding members of the First Baptist Church of Murphy. Novella served there as a Sunday school teacher for 50 plus years, she sang, played piano and would help wherever needed. She was a faithful Christian.

Novella babysat for many families in her community over the years even second generation. She had a passion for Country and Gospel music. Richard said she was always singing.

Novella also loved to sew, quilt and embroider until she developed Parkinson’s in 1990. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation Monday, May 20, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri.

Service Tuesday, May 21, 2019 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Murphy, 203 Old Sugar Creek Road, Fenton, MO 63026. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Murphy.
