Torrington- Olga T. Suydam, 89, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Atria Assisted Living, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Clarence B. Suydam. Mrs. Suydam was born in Torrington on July 30, 1929, daughter of the late Domenico and Palma (Gianello) Tonon, and had been a lifelong Torrington-Winsted area resident.

Survivors include four children, Wendy S. Draczynski and her husband Andrew of Torrington, Timothy P. Suydam and his wife Carolyn of New Hartford, Jonathan R. Suydam of Torrington, and Heidi S. Smith and her husband Geoffrey of Torrington; a brother, Ugo Tonon and his wife Dorothy of Torrington; 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Suydam was predeceased by a sister, Renata Whitney. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 1:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington.

Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Thursday morning from 11:00a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Guild Animal Shelter, 285 Sharon-Goshen Tpke.
