Owen Rollins, 75, of Arkansas City, Ks, passed away on Tuesday February 5, 2019 at his home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Riverview Cemetery. Owen was born on September 12, 1943 in Newkirk, OK, the son of Ray Clarence and Goldie (Vaughn) Rollins.

He attended grade schools in Grant and Peckham, OK. His young adult life was spent in Newkirk, OK. Owen entered the United States Air Force and his duties were a security officer.

He was honorably discharged and returned to this area. Owen enjoyed team roping at rodeos and wild cow milking as he got older. Owen worked as a framing carpenter for local construction companies.

He was quite the artist and could create beautiful spaces with his talents. His family includes his companion, Mary Rollins, his son, Kevin Rollins and wife Sandy Jo of Newkirk, OK; his siblings, Donna Lesemann of Newkirk, OK; Lester Rollins of Mineral Wells, TX and Linda Reese of OKC, OK; his 1 grandchild; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings, Dave Rollins, Laverna Johnson, Norma Anderson and Agatha Cople.
