Palma Guerriero April 01, 1928 – December 25, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists View/Sign Guest Book Watertown Palma Chiara Guerriero “Loving Mother, Grandmother and Pillar of Faith” Mrs. Palma Chiara (Santoro) Guerriero, 90, entered into the kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, Christmas Day. She was the loving wife of the late Carlo Guerriero. Palma Chiara was a woman of prayer and love, with unwavering faith in God.
She loved to fellowship with people of all ages, either sharing a poetic moment or encouraging life lessons over an espresso. Through her guidance, her children and grandchildren were inspired to live life fully and cherish each moment. Palma was born in Giudignano, Lecce, Italy on April 1, 1928, Palm Sunday, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Addolorata (Micolani) Santoro.
She moved to Waterbury from Italy in 1971, having lived in Town Plot section for over thirty years. Palma worked at Timex and Bendix Corporation until her retirement. As a member of the Evangelical Christian Church, she was a pillar of faith and continuously ministered to others as a prayer warrior and contributed to their growth as a family.
Although she was small in stature, she contained the boldness and faith of a giant. Palma is survived by; a son, Saverio Guerriero and his wife Donata of Watertown; three sisters, Antonietta Sunna, Lucia Vicino, and Elisa Monterisi, all of Italy; five grandchildren, Jessica DeSimone, Daniel DeSimone, Jr. and his wife Justine, Severino Guerriero and Sefano Guerriero all of Watertown and Carlo Guerriero and his wife Ali of Watertown, MA; a great grandson, Josiah Daniel DeSimone of Watertown and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter and son in law, Josephine “Pina” (Guerriero) DeSimone and Daniel M. DeSimone as well as a brother and sister of Italy.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Evangelical Christian Church, 1325 Watertown Avenue Waterbury, CT 06708. Funeral services will be held Saturday December 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Church. Burial will follow in Mt.
