Pamela Sue (Evans) Slade, 63, Pittsburgh, died Saturday, February 23, 2019, at her residence after a long battle with ovarian cancer. The daughter of Robert and Evelyn (Pierce) Slade, she was born February 4, 1956, in Buffalo, NY. Pamela was a 1974 graduate of Penns Manor High School.

She had been employed by Kroger’s for 18 years in North Carolina and then numerous years at the Asbury Heights Nursing Home as a Med Tech. Pamela will be remembered for her caring nature and as a loving mother, daughter and sister. In her free time she enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales and thrift stores.

She also had a creative flair for crafts. Surviving are her sons, Michael and Charles Evans, both of Raleigh, N.C.; siblings, James (Rebecca) Slade, Indiana, Joann Slade, Pittsburgh, and Lewis (Wanda) Slade, Home; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceding Pamela in death was her father.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Interment in the Ruffner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 510 Pellis Rd.
