Obituary for Patricia A. “Patsy” Washinger Patricia A. “Patsy” Washinger, 83, of Shippensburg, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Life Care Hospital of Mechanicsburg. Born Thursday, July 26, 1934 in Cleversburg, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Harold “Hank” Jacoby and Leila Gutshall Helm. Patricia was a member of the Ridge Church of the Brethren, Shippensburg.

She worked as a bus driver for the former Lee McBeth & Sons Bus Company, Walnut Bottom, with five years of service. Patricia was an avid bowler, loved Gospel music, and was a member of the Christian Quartet, Shippensburg. She is survived by her husband, William F. “Bill” Washinger, Jr.; one son, Douglas R. Washinger, Shippensburg; one daughter, Brenda L. (Tony McCurdy) Washinger, Camp Hill; one grandson, Korey C. (Jen R.) Washinger, Catawba, NC; one granddaughter, Drista N. Morris, Shippensburg; three great grandchildren, Shealyn R. Morris, Alona L. Morris, and Karizma R. Washinger; and three sisters, Betty Fox, Judy Helm, and Janet Lloyd.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Stanley E. Washinger, and two brothers, Ted and Steve Helm. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ridge Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Harold E. Yeager officiating.

Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held, Sunday, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
