Patricia Ann Waterson November 24, 1933 – January 30, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Patricia Ann Waterson, 85, formerly of South Whitley died at 5:48 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Peabody Retirement Community where she had been a resident since 2017. She was born November 24, 1933 in Fort Wayne, Indiana a daughter of the late Lafayette C. and Matilda C. (Burkamp) Trautman. Her formative years were spent at Washington Township, Whitley County where she attended Washington Center School.

On January 14, 1950 she was united in marriage to Earl Waterson, Jr in Roanoke, IN. They have always made their home in Whitley County. A full-time homemaker raising her children, she worked briefly for Memcor, Huntington and Chamberlain Products, South Whitley.

She taught Kindergarten in Sunday School for 25 years at St. John’s Lutheran Church and had attended Trinity Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She was a devoted wife and mother to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, who she loved dearly. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Earl; her children, Gail (George) Roth, South Whitley, Gary (Jia) Waterson, Lincoln, California, David (Heather) Waterson, Warsaw, Julie (Mark) Frantz, South Whitley; grandchildren, Chris (Jana) Burnworth, Corey (Stephanie) Burnworth, Brock (Nici) Waterson, Brandon Waterson, Kyle Frantz, Holly Frantz, David Bonito, Matt Bonito; great-grandchildren, Quinton, Noah, Grace & Rebecca Burnworth, Keaton & Riley Anderson, Caden & Mason Waterson Hunter & Logan Waterson; a sister, Joan Knapp, Fort Wayne and five nieces & three nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dallas and Darwin Trautman. The funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 709 Business 30 West, Columbia City.

Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley and 1 hour prior to the service at the church Preferred memorials are to Trinity Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Heart to Heart Hospice or One Community, South Whitley.
