It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia Lou Messer announces her passing after a brief illness on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at the age of 68 years. Patricia, also known as Patty, will be lovingly remembered by her children, Mary Messer, Charles Messer, and Kimberly Banks (Gregory Banks). She will also be fondly remembered by her three grandchildren, Chasity Messer, Charity Messer, and Kamilla Messer; her sisters, Betsy Elkins (Jimmy Elkins), Rosemary Allen, Vonnie Curry, and Janet Bailey; her brothers, Gary Curry (Darlene Curry), and Johnny Curry.

Patty is now resting in the arms of Jesus and reuniting with her husband Jackie Messer. A funeral service in memory of Patty will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Herman Maynard officiating.

Interment will follow in family plot at Van Gundy Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. until service time for friends and family. Those who desire may make a donation in memory of Patty to Handley Funeral Home, PO Box 175, Danville, WV 25053.
