Mehagan, 89, of Genoa died Monday, January 28, 2019 at Pine Acres Rehab and Living Center in DeKalb. She was born October 18, 1929 in Chicago to George and Bess (Lloyd) Milles. She was married to Gilby Mehagan.

Patricia retired from teaching after a long career of teaching in many states. She will be dearly missed by her loving family. Survivors include her daughter, Virginia (Carlo) Scappino; one granddaughter, Barbara (Tim) Carlton; her great grandson, Braden; two sisters, Nancy (Frank) Loversky and Margaret Jergensen; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one son, George. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 1st from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory in Sycamore. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Voluntary Action Center in DeKalb or TAILS Humane Society in DeKalb in care of the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave.
