Patrick Kevin Lowry, 62, of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed away on January 2, 2019. Pat was born on November 30, 1956, in Peoria, Illinois the son of the late Orville M. & Donna J. (Schulthes) Lowry, Jr. Pat is survived by his brother Bruce (Karen) Lowry, sister Pamela (Bob) Rodey, his nieces Cora (Chris) Stout, Laura (Kris Classen) Rodey, Elaine (Dawn) Hancock, great nieces Carma and Sasha Stout, his beloved dogs, BG and Alex and many dear friends. Pat grew up in East Peoria and Peoria, Illinois and lived there until the age of 25 when he moved to San Diego, California and worked as an electronics repairman while spending his free time surfing in the Pacific and developing a sophisticated taste for wine.

After six years of fun he returned to Edwardsville, Illinois where he founded Sound Service, a VCR repair business and started accumulating real estate. Pat’s great passions were Formula One races, volunteering with a dog rescue organization, bird watching, cooking for friends and family, fishing, his garden, listening to the blues, keeping up on the news, and living an independent and frugal life. After he was diagnosed with ALS he fulfilled his lifelong dream of buying a house boat and spent his happiest days taking friends and family out on the Mississippi.

A memorial gathering on January 20, 2019, will be held at the Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville, IL, from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the ALS Foundation St. Louis Regional Chapter would be appreciated.
