Paul’s Obituary Paul Allen Woodie, age 79, of Bluefield, WV, went to be with the LORD on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Paul was born on August 13, 1939 in North Carolina to the late John and Beulah Workman Woodie. Paul had been a resident of Bluefield for the past nine years and was a retired coal miner.

In addition to his parents Paul was preceded into the gates of Heaven by his wife, Mary Ellen Woodie; three sons, Larry, Jerry, and John Woodie; two daughters Teresa and Lisa Woodie; one brother, Roy Woodie; one sister, Sue Hardwick; and a great-granddaughter, Aryah Leigh Quesenberry. Paul is survived by his three children; Robert Woodie, Shelby Woodie and Lynn Woodie; one sister: Gladys Woodie Grandchildren: Melissa Martin (Michael Baldwin) Rachel Quesenberry (Darrell Dent) Samantha Thomas, Lisa Bryant; Tayvion, Zoey Amor, Neimaiah (GREAT GRANDKIDS), Samantha Thomas (Brayden, Hunter, Kevin Thomas (GREAT GRANDKIDS), Lisa Bryant, Christina Bryant (3 BOYS GREAT GRANDKIDS), Sissy Woodie ( JOJO & David GREAT GRANDKIDS), Adrienne Shouse (Brayson Shouse) (GREAT GRANDKID), Oceana Woodie( JAYLEN) (GREAT GRANDKID, Ariel Woodie, Jacob Woodie, Johnathan Woodie(Brittney Woodie wife AKA LIL BIT,(Serentiy Woodie) GREAT GRANDKID. Molly Murrey (niece), DEEDEE Chinuilt (niece), Charles Woodie (nephew).

Many friends and family, he loved each and every one of us. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia. Burial will follow at Angel’s Rest Cemetery in Narrows, Virginia where friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

The Woodie family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Cravens-Shires Funeral Home. The family would appreciate prayers at this difficult time.
