Joyce Anetta DeSantis of Bluefield, West Virginia August 29, 1939 – January 17, 2019 Joyce Anetta DeSantis, age 79, of Shenandoah Avenue, Bluefield, WV died on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Commonwealth Senior Living Center in Cedar Bluff, VA. Born on August 29, 1939, in Glen Alum, WV she was a daughter of the late Homer and Ina Carter Smith. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was retired as a home health nurse.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Anthony DeSantis. Survivors include: Sons: Michael DeSantis of Stanford, CT Timothy DeSantis of Wynnewood, PA Brothers: Robert Smith of Katy, TX Paul Smith of New Kent, VA David Smith of Newburg, MD Sisters: Cherie Hanna of Bluefield, WV Judy Ellis of Wharrencliff, WV 2 Grandchildren In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date. The family is accepting online condolences at www.
