Connie’s Obituary Connie Zene Gilbert, 68, of Rock, WV, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem, VA. Born on December 24, 1950 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Marie Ball ton. She had been a lifelong resident of Mercer County and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.

Survivors include: Husband: Thomas Wayne Gilbert, Sr. of the home Son: Thomas Gilbert, Jr. and wife Seanna of Rock Daughters: Greta Smith of Rock Lisa Hanshaw of Rock Lea Gilbert of Rock 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren Brother: Paul ton of Sandlick Sisters: Bernice Lusk of Bluefield Louise ton of Bluefield Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Kenny Hazelwood, Dennis Hanshaw, Jr., Andrew Shrader, Johnny Tooley, David Copley, and Michael Gilbert serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 at the funeral home.
