Bruce Edward Greer of Wilcoe, West Virginia March 21, 1942 – February 24, 2019 Bruce Edward Greer, 76, of Wilcoe, West Virginia passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at his residence. Bruce was born on March 21, 1942 in White Top, Virginia to the late Horace Paul Greer and Vada Wingler Greer. Bruce was retired from US Steel where he worked as a coal miner he was also a proud Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the Kings Closet in Jenkinjones, West Virginia. In addition to his parents Bruce was preceded in death by one brother Bobby Greer and a sister Deloris Greer. Survivors include his wife of 24 years Pearlie (Bolen) Greer of the home; three sons Bruce Greer, Jr and wife Bonnie of Welch, West Virginia, Eddie Greer and wife Crystal of Welch, West Virginia and Derek Greer of South Carolina.

Three daughters Wendy Bentrem of Bluefield, Virginia; Precious Bolen and husband Johnathan of Anawalt, West Virginia and Angelia Trujillo of South Carolina. Two step daughters: Shante Luster and husband Timmy of Keystone, West Virginia and Angela Slone of Anawalt, West Virginia. Two brothers Delmer Greer of Texas and Roger Greer of North Carolina; four sisters Madeline Goodman of Anawalt, West Virginia, Betty Sue Moore, Edith Meredith of Mt.

Airy, North Carolina and Mitzie Jarvis. Bruce is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held for Bruce on Friday, March 01, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia.

Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, West Virginia where the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard will perform military graveside rites. His friends and family will be serving as pallbearers. The Greer family will receive friends and relative on Thursday, February, 28, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, West Virginia.
