Obituary for Paula Elizabeth Parker Hammer Paula Elizabeth Parker Hammer, 75, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018, at Morning Pointe Assisted Living in Clinton, TN. from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease. She was a 1961 graduate of Roane County High School and a 1965 graduate of the University of Tennessee.

She retired from the Charleston Area Medical Center of Charleston, W.Va. in 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary Parker of Kingston, and is survive by a brother, John Parker also of Kingston, and several cousins.

Paula loved her cats and was an excellent “cat mom”. She enjoyed reading and also loved to read and write poetry. She was an avid football fan.

Her favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Steelers, the U.T. Vols, and the W.Va. Mountaineers of her adopted state. The family would like to express its thanks to Brookdale Assisted Living of Kingston and Morning Pointe of Clinton for the loving care Paula received in the last few months of her life.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 3pm Monday, September 10, 2018 at the Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston. Entombment will be Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Alzheimer’s Tennessee, www.
