Pauline’s Obituary Pauline Fern “Polly” Watson, 76, of Knob Noster, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Polly was born on December 11, 1942, in Knob Noster, MO, the daughter of Walter Otto Werneke and Louise Matilda (Bell) Werneke. She married Leo Watson on July 28, 1961, in Camdenton, MO – to this union were born three children.

Polly was a longtime member of La Monte Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also an avid game-player (especially bingo, card games, board games, and casino games) and loved tending to her flower & vegetable garden. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Leo, of the home; daughter Rachel Ennis (husband, Ronnie) of Coalgate, OK; daughter Melinda Alvarez (husband, Angel) of Radcliff, KY; sister Rose Lee Scharfen (husband, Deke) of Lake Winnebago, MO; sister Joyce Tebbenkamp (husband, Ron) of Raymore, MO; sister-in-law Charlene Werneke of Blackburn, MO; grandchildren: Tyler Ennis (wife, Heather) of Coalgate, OK, Karlie Connors (husband, Justin) of Independence, MO, Sarah De La Torre (wife, Angie) of Fort Bragg, NC, Amber Fuentes of Fort Carson, CO, Paul Watson of Knob Noster, MO, Sondi Ennis of Coalgate, OK, Ronica Ennis of Coalgate, OK, Rhett Grotjan of Knob Noster, MO, Grace Grotjan of Knob Noster, MO, and Violetta Alvarez of Radcliff, KY; four great-grandchildren, Jensy Ennis and Tyley Ennis, both of Coalgate, OK, Lillian Connors of Independence, MO, and Angelina Fuentes of Fort Carson, CO; and one great-grandchild (baby Connors) due in August.

Polly was preceded in death by her son, Dondi Watson; parents, Walter and Louise Werneke; sisters, Helen and Dorothy Werneke; brother, Walter Jr. “Sonny” Werneke; grandson, Eric Golden-Ennis; niece, Angela Scharfen; and great-nephew, Jared Chaffin. Funeral services will be held at Heartland Church in Knob Noster, MO, with a date and time to be determined. Interment will follow the service in Knob Noster Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Angel Alvarez, Sarah De La Torre, Angie De La Torre, and Amber Fuentes. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Ennis, Randy Chaffin, Ronnie Ennis, Ron Tebbenkamp, and Deke Scharfen. Family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday, February 28, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.
