Perla Christopher-Freeman, 85,of the British Virgin Islands and Powder Springs, GA, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in Austell, GA. Perla will be returning to her home in the British Virgin Islands to rest with her family in Mt. Healthy, B.V.I. Perla is survived by her husband, Darwin Freeman of Douglasville, GA.

; sons, Dexter Freeman(Avril) of St. Thomas, B.V.I., Rufus Monsanto of St. John, U.S.V.I. , daughters, Sheila Freeman-Callwood(Euton) of Powder Springs, GA, Sharon Freeman of Powder Springs, GA; granddaughters Cherise Callwood & Cherisma Callwood of Powder Springs, GA, Zayda Freeman of McDonough, GA; sisters, Millicent Christopher(Alfred) of Dallas, GA, Yvonne Christopher, Harriet Herbert, Rosalind Christopher-Titus, Irene Parsons(Glandwell); brothers, Robert Christopher, Arthur Christopher, J. Alvin Christopher(Doris); sisters-in-law, Joyce Christopher & Marjorie Christopher; and many nieces & nephews. Perla was preceded in death by her parents, George & Miriam Christopher; brothers, Charles & Calvin Christopher.

Perla loved to bake and sew and walking on the beach. She had a close, personal relationship with God and passed that onto her family by giving them bibles as gifts as well as sharing her love of gospel music. She had a caring and loving soul, not only towards people, but towards animals as well.

Her greatest love in life was her family, she was very passionate about raising her children with a good education. Perla’s loving presence will be greatly missed. Perla will make the journey back to Mt.

Healthy British Virgin Islands where she will be laid to rest with her family in a private burial ground under the guidance of Davis Funeral Home in Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
