Obituary for Philippa T. Koval Cohoes, NY Philippa T. Koval, 99, died at her daughters residence on October 22, 2018. Born in Cohoes and a life long resident, she was daughter of the late Joseph and Domenica Bonina Catalfamo. She worked at Beaunit Mills in Cohoes as a secretary.

She left work to become a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and mother in-law to her family. She was a devout catholic, who enjoyed going to church and had been a member of the former St. Rita’s Church Rosary Society, Philippa will be remembered as a very outgoing person who loved socializing and going out for her weekly dinners. Philippa was predeceased by her husband of 53 years Frank Koval who died in 2000.

She was sister of the late Frances Langlais, Angelina Catalfamo, Antoinette Catalfamo, John Catalfamo, James Catalfamo and Anthony Catalfamo. She is survived by her loving children Mary Anne (Charles) Valenti and Kathleen (Michael) Gaudette. Devoted grandmother of Michael Valenti, Maria (Tulin) Valenti, Eric (Annamaria) Gaudette and Laura (Anthony) Bone.

Great grandmother of Levi and Aiden. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10am from Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Latham.

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery Cohoes. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 at the Marra Funeral Home Cohoes. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Kevin Costello for the wonderful care and support he gave to Philippa while in his care.
