Phillip Frank Gonzales April 23, 1947 – March 10, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Phillip Frank Gonzales, 71 of McAlester died Sunday March 10, 2019 at his residence surrounded by loved ones. A rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Bishop Chapel of Memories led by Deacon Bill Anderson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Church celebrated by Rev.

Leonard Higgins. Burial will follow at Ulan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Luther Robertson, Vance Rochelle, Jason Evans, Patrick Rochelle, Cody Ward and Kenny Ridenhour.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Jerry Perry, Wade Perry, Charles Tripp, Tom Sherman and William Ward. Phillip was born April 23, 1947 in McAlester. He attended McAlester Schools and served six years in the U.S. Army Reserve as a Drill Sergeant with Company F, 377th Regiment, 1st Training Brigade.

He married Phyllis Deanna Ketchum on June 18, 1966 in Scipio. Phillip owned and operated Gonzales Cement Construction Company. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church.

Phillip enjoyed coaching softball, fishing, taking care of his cattle and spending time with his family. Phillip volunteered delivering for Meals on Wheels. Phillip was preceded in death by his mother, Bruna Terresa Robertson; step-father, Bill Robertson; his wife, Phyllis Gonzales in 2016; and a brother, Billy Robertson.

Phillip is survived by daughters: Sherri Ward, Kim Rochelle and husband, Vance, Kristy Evans and husband, Jason all of McAlester; grandchildren: Cody Ward of Shawnee, Patrick Rochelle, Kaylyn Rochelle, Cole Evans, Brooklyn Evans all of McAlester; sisters: Pat Goode of Mesquite, Texas, Stella Wyer of Canton, Texas; brother, Luther Robertson and wife, Sharon of Rowlett, Texas; cousin, Marcella Bess and numerous other family members and friends.
