Obituary for Phyllis Fleenor Cox Phyllis Fleenor Cox, 78, Kingsport, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 with her family by her side. Phyllis has lived most of her life in the area and truly loved cooking and especially cooking for others. She was particularly known for her deliveries of homemade bread that everyone enjoyed receiving.

She was preceded in death by her father John Thomas Fleenor and step-mother Mildred Fleenor and mother Clara Esther Christian; her husband Gary Cox; and her brother Bobby Fleenor. Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Kim Norris and Kris Light; grandchildren, Kristyn Hasty, Jordan Light, and Justin Light; great-grandchildren, Cameron Lawson and Chloe Hasty; special sister, Louise DeZarn; sisters, Barbara Ann Smith, and Donna Kay Sensabaugh and husband David; brothers, Tommy Fleenor and wife Dot, and John Fleenor; father of her children, Bill Haynes; along with several nieces and nephews. Visitation services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 11:00 until 1:00 PM at Tri-Cities Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Strong officiating and graveside services will immediately follow in Church Hill Memory Gardens. The family would like to thank the staff of Wexford House for their care during her illness. Tri-Cities Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Phyllis Cox.
