Phyllis Miller, 76, of Olin passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on May 9, 2018 following a sudden illness. Her funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Lahey and Dawson Funeral Home in Olin. Visitation will be held from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. before the service.

Burial will be held at a later date at Cedar Memorial in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Phyllis Jean was born on January 7, 1942 in Ohio to Neil and Alma (Richmond) Hulick. She attended Cuyahoga Falls Highschool in Ohio.

She married Wilbur Miller on November 4, 1967 in Ohio. She worked as a nursing assistant and as a homemaker. Phyllis was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star.

She enjoyed traveling, camping, knitting, cooking for her family and entertaining many groups. Her and her husband spent 23 wonderful winters in Texas. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 50 years Wilbur, children; Dawn (Tim) Rickard of Sacramento, California, Carol (Jim) Nordhus of Janesville, Iowa, Diana (Terry) Sund of Cedar Rapids, W. Scott Miller of Marion, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sister Barbara McGinty of Mesquite, Texas and brother Bud (Delores) Hulick of Huntington Beach, California.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Donald. Memorials may be directed to her family in her honor. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.
