Rosemary Shoaff, 80, of Oxford Junction passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at her home. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Oxford Junction where a visitation will be held prior from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction. Lahey & Dawson Funeral Service of Oxford Junction is assisting the family.

Rosemary was born on June 8, 1937 in Mechanicsville, Iowa to Cyrus and Francis (Boots) Joslin. She graduated from Oxford Junction High School. On June 22, 1955 she was united in marriage to Elmer Shoaff in Lowden, Iowa.

Rosemary was a homemaker and babysat for many family members and neighborhood children. She is a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Oxford Junction. She spent her time baking, playing dice games and board games, working on crossword puzzles and bird watching.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children; Jade (Randy) Derynck of Clarence, IA, Debra Shoaff of Clarence, IA, Donna (Jeff) Carroll of Oxford Junction, IA, Jolynne Walter (Larry Elher) of Oxford Junction, IA and Tara (James) Lorenzen of Clinton, IA, 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchild, four sisters; Jeanne (Wilbur) Erhart, Phyllis Pflughaupt, Wendy Wiebrand, Kerry Grove and three brothers; Cyrus “Bud” (Jane) Joslin, Michael Joslin and Kevin (Cheryl) Joslin. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer, a son, Brian “Louie” in 2000, two great-grandchildren and a sister Virginia. Memorials may be directed in her honor to her family.
