Julia White, 95, of Maquoketa passed away on September 23, 2018 at Mercy in Dubuque, Iowa. Her funeral mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. before the service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary in Dubuque, Iowa. Lahey and Dawson Funeral Services are caring for the family at this time.

Julia was born on February 25, 1923 in Dyersville, Iowa to Emil and Martha (Kramer) Esch. She married Kenneth White on February 17, 1947. She began working at Crescent Electric and later worked as a custodian at Dubuque Community Schools.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was an avid Cubs and Bulls fan. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children; Rick (Sue) Williams of Maquoketa, Nick (Linda) White of Ft. Myers Beach, Florida, Tom (Marylee) White of Kingman, Arizona, nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and a brother in law Phil Manternach. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth, son Paul, brother Nick (Katie) Esch, five sisters; Mary Williamson, Kay Ament, Ellen Manternach, Donnie (Merle) Krapfl and Patty (Earl) Billmeyer.
