Thomas Marlowe, 70, of rural Maquoketa passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018. The family has chosen to honor Thomas’ wishes of cremation and will have a private family gathering at a later date. Lahey and Dawson Funeral Services is caring for Thomas’ family at this time.

Thomas was born on April 29, 1948 in Jackson County, Iowa to Kenneth and Lucille (Eckelberg) Marlowe. He worked as a carpenter for Ken Moore during his younger years. He enjoyed camping, fishing and loved spending his time outdoors at Six B’s campground.

He also enjoyed woodworking. Those left to cherish his memories are his children; Lanae (Bruce) Becker of Troy, MO, Jon (Susan) Marlowe of Welton, Chad (Desiree) Marlowe of Oswego, Ill, Jodi (Steve May) Marlowe of Davenport, Mindy (Ryan) James of Maquoketa, Tony (Jenna Luett) Marlowe of Maquoketa ten grandchildren; Chloe Matthews, Carter Marlowe, Chance Marlowe, Mace Marlowe, Lily May, Evie May, Cadence James, Reid James, Mackylie Marlowe, Adalyn “Peanut” Marlowe and brother, Craig (Linda) Marlowe of WI. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Terry.
