Tyler “Ty” Jordan Bohannon, age 19 of Bernard area, formerly of Waseca, Minnesota, died Thursday, September 20, 2018 in Wichita, Kansas. Ty was born on November 23, 1998 in Minnesota. The son of Shannon DeLarm-Chrest and Jason Bohannon.

After graduating in 2017, he started working for Veach Diesel in Bellevue, Iowa, then went to NICC for his certification in Diesel Technician. Ty recently went to work for JOMAX Pipeline Construction in Kansas. He loved his truck and was always trying to “jack” it up, along with truck pulls and cruises.

If he wasn’t singing while rolling black smoke and burning rubber, he was fishing, hunting, and horseback riding. It wasn’t unusual to find Ty in a sleeveless shirt, torn jeans, with a dip, flirting with the ladies, or looking for a mud hole. He will be forever remembered for his contagious smile and witty sense of humor.

Ty is survived by his parents Shannon (Raymond) Chrest of Zwingle, Ia, and Jason (Angie) Bohannon of Waseca, Mn, sisters Aubree Atkinson and Chaney Chrest of Zwingle, Ia, brothers Tate and Trey Bohannon of Waseca, Mn. , Maternal Grandparents Gary and Pam DeLarm and Dean and Connie Chrest; Great- Grandparents Jerry and Freda DeLarm, Betty Chrest, and Raymond Trenkamp; Paternal Grandparents Steve Bohannon, Dave Irwin, and John and Nelda Metz; and Uncles Matt (Melissa) DeLarm, and Jared (Amy) DeLarm. He was very loved by his uncles, aunts, cousins, many close friends, and co-workers.

In special memory, he was proceeded in death by Great Grandparents Jerry and Pam Moylan, Great Aunt Marge DeLarm, Great-Grandpa Wesley Chrest, Great-Grandma Velma Trenkamp, Grandma Dory Irwin, and Cousin Madison Bohannon. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Sacred Heart Church in Maquoketa, Iowa from 10am to 1pm. Following visitation there will be a service in honor of Ty.

The Family would like to give a special thanks to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington, KS, Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS, and their staff, JOMAX Pipeline Construction, Veach Diesel, Decker Precision Machining, and all his co-workers.
