Pietra A. Stella, (nee Fuga), “also known to all as Aunt Bea” ,95, of Eatontown passed away peacefully on January 29, 2019 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Stamford, NY to Joseph and Maria Fuga, Pietra was raised in Long Branch, NJ. She worked at Progressive Life Insurance, Red Bank before semi retiring to work alongside her husband Joseph Stella on their farm in Eatontown which today is known as Husky Brook Park.

Pietra was a devoted communicant of St. Dorothea’s R.C. Church, Eatontown. She was an animal lover, especially loving her “pugs” but most especially her beloved Brenda. She was an avid sports fan always finding herself rooting for the underdogs such as the Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Jets and most enthusiastically her New York Mets.

She will be most remembered for her sweet tooth, being kind hearted and spoiling everyone around her. Pietra was predeceased by her sisters, Theresa McCue and Ann Schulz, nieces; Joan McCue and MaryAnn Schulz. She is survived by her nieces and nephews; Peggy, Mick, Nancy, Paul, Christine, Robert, Steven, David, Michael, Riccardo, Jane, Cathy, Susan, Roseanne and Gloria as well as many great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations to St. Dorothea’s St. Vincent dePaul, 240 Broad St., Eatotnown , NJ 07724 in Pietra’s name would be greatly appreciated. Visitation will be held at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 415 Broadway, Long Branch on Sunday, February 3, 2019 from 2-4pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Monday, February 4, 2019 at St. Dorothea’s R.C. Church, 240 Broad St. Eatontown, NJ.
