Rachel E. Harbold, Age 85, of East Sparta, passed away Fri. , July 27, 2018. Born Apr.

30, 1933, in Dover, a daughter of the late Emmett and Myrtle (McMannus) Reiger, she grew up in Strasburg and had been an East Sparta resident since her marriage. Rachel was a 1951 graduate of Dover High School. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Francis “Bud” Harbold, on Sept.

19, 2007, and her granddaughter, Jessica Tucker. Survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Alane and Randy Tucker, and Beth Knox; three grandsons, Alan Tucker, Sam Knox, and Jaret Knox; two great grandchildren, Claire and Jason, who called her Rachel GiGi; one sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Bob Burkhart, and their sons, Mike and Mark; and many close friends. In keeping with Rachel’s wishes there will be no visitation or ceremony and her ashes will be scattered on the hilltop at the farm with her husband.

The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rachel’s memory may be made to the Stark County Humane Society, PO Box 7077, Canton, OH 44705.
