Born in Cuba, she came to the United States living in Paterson for 10 years and Hawthorne for 34 years. She worked for Marcal Paper Mills in Elmwood Park for 25 years before retiring.

Upon arrival to the United States as a Cuban exile, she became very active in community and fraternal organizations, receiving multiple awards for her philanthropic efforts, leadership, and participation in political activism within the Cuban community. Such organizations included “Orden Caballeros de la Luz Internacional” and ” The Federation of Cuban Masons, Chapter: Cuba Primero” She was a loving mother to Nora Adams, a proud grandmother to 3 grandchildren; Javier, Blanca Julissa, and Roxanne, and an adoring great grandmother of 7. Funeral service Saturday 9:30 a.m. at the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, Inc., 274 Market Street, Elmwood Park.

Entombment Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Fair Lawn.
