Born and raised in Garfield, Thomas was a graduate of Pope Pius High School, Passaic. He lived in Saddle Brook for 35 years.

Prior to his retirement, he worked for the Bergen Record for 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and boating. He is predeceased by James DiMicelli and Vincenza DiMicelli, his parents.

He is survived by his wife Emily DiMicelli (Canning), his children Thomas Jr. (Patricia), Lee Ann (Steven), James (Sharon), Lisa (Martin) and his grandchildren Matthew, Amanda, Peter, Stephen, Jake, Jared, Jeremy. Services are private. Arrangements by the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, Inc., 274 Market Street, Elmwood Park.
