Mr. Ralph Carlton Chambers, 94, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019, at Morningside Assisted Living in Concord. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:30 pm Monday, February 4, 2019, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Greg Sloop will officiate.

The burial is scheduled for 3:30 pm Monday at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:15 pm Monday at Lady’s Funeral Home. Mr. Chambers was born November 25, 1924 in Thomasville.

He was a son of the late Herman A. Chambers and Annie Crider Chambers. He was a member of Kannapolis Church of God. Mr. Chambers enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing golf.

He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army from 1943 to 1945. Mr. Chambers is survived by a son, Steve Chambers and wife Peggy of Concord; two daughters, Jerri C. Hall and husband John of Denver and Terri C. Hammer and husband Mark of Mint Hill; brother, Derrell B. Chambers and wife Marjorie of Kannapolis; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. The family would like to express appreciation to Hospice Staff, as well as the staff at Morningside for their excellent care during the past two years.
