Mrs. Julia Rae “Judy” Allen McLain, 85, passed away Monday, March 11, 2019, at Brian Center of Concord in Concord. A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 pm Friday, March 15, 2019, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev.

Brian James will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:45 am Friday at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. McLain was born August 8, 1933 in Ruby, SC. She was a daughter of the late Clyde William Allen and Halley Gertrude Roscoe Allen. She was of the Baptist faith.

Judy enjoyed working with flowers and reading. She loved spending time with her family and eating at the Cracker Barrel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Ray McLain.

Mrs. McLain is survived by son, Danny Lynn McLain of Concord; two daughters, Connie Petrea and husband John of Kannapolis and Wanda Ferguson and fiancé Eric Wingler of Landis; four grandchildren, Renee Boswell, Laura Williams, Dustin McLain and Dawn Farris; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and brother, Larry Warren Allen of Kannapolis. Memorials may be sent to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC, 28081.
