Rebecca Ann Whitaker, age 79, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Liberty Commons. She was born in Lee County on October 26, 1938 to the late Arthur Whitaker and Jewell Clark Whitaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Joyce Smith and Susan Sineath; a sister, Faye McLeod; two brothers, Herman Whitaker and Jerry Whitaker and a grandson, John Moore.

Rebecca was retired from Magneti Marelli. She is survived by sons, William David Kimball and wife, Brenda of Cameron, Terry Lynn Kimball of Cameron, Gary Clark Kimball of Vass; one daughter, Beverly Kimball Cummings of Sanford; brother, Jimmy Whitaker and wife, Ruth of Olivia; two sisters, Janice Goodwin of Olivia and Brenda Hall and husband, Alton of Cameron; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

A memorial service will follow in the Chapel at 7:00 PM with Rev. Chad Nall officiating.
