Rebecca’s Obituary Rebecca Carr Hinkle Younts, age 65, of Lexington passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House of Trellis Support Care. She was surrounded with love from family and friends. A celebration of Rebecca’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019, in the Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel with Brothers Bobby Leonard and Tony Morrison officiating.

A graveside service will follow at the Reedy Creek Church of Christ Cemetery for family and close friends. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019, at Davidson Funeral Home, located at 858 Hickory Tree Rd in Winston-Salem. Rebecca was born on March 4, 1954, in Forsyth County to Joe Cleveland Hinkle and Helen Carr Kellette Hinkle.

She led a vibrant life, continually seeking new adventures, making friends out of strangers and lighting up every room with her radiant smile, sparkling eyes and passion for life. Rebecca enjoyed traveling across the country with her family and friends, and lived as many moments as she could in her bathing suit at Lake Norman. She retired from Greenwood & Charles earlier this month after working in accounting there for 46 years alongside Betty, Russell and Keith Charles.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard “Rick” Clayton Younts; her son, Daniel Ryan Younts (Heather) of Clemmons; grandson, William Xander Younts; brother, Joe Cleveland Hinkle Jr. (Jeannie Workman) of Welcome; mother, Helen Carr Kellette Hinkle; nephew, Joe Cleveland Hinkle, III (Kendal) of Charlotte; niece, Cristalle Hinkle Dickerson (Brian) of Raleigh; and great niece; Isabella Riann Hinkle. She was preceded in death by her father. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Judes Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and Trellis Supportive Care of Winston-Salem, NC.
