Obituary of Rebecca Winch Rebecca Mae Winch, 78, of Pocomoke City, died on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Berlin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on January 9, 1940 in Pocomoke City, MD, she was the daughter of the late Webster and Rebecca Figgs Howard. Rebecca graduated from Pocomoke High School, Class of 1957.

Rebecca will always be remembered for her famous subs at Jimmy Abel’s in Pocomoke City. She also worked for the Perdue hatchery and was involved in their marketing program. She was a member of the Friendly Club and the Red Hat Society and loved playing bingo, sailing on the Chincoteague Bay and collecting spoons from all over the world.

She is survived by two sons, Wayne Tindle, and Glenn Tindle and his wife Catherine; one grandson Evan; one brother, David Howard and his wife Diane all of Pocomoke City, MD; one sister-in-law, Nancy Howard of Hudson, FL; two cousins, Ramona Dickerson and her husband Howard and John Howard Payne, one nephew and three nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Prentiss Howard and two husbands, Randolph Tindle and Ira Winch. An informal gathering will be held in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, Fourth and Market Streets, Pocomoke City, at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 2, 2018.
