Rheba’s Obituary Rheba Joan Wright, 85, died Saturday Jan 26, 2019 in Chandler, AZ. She was born in Sterrett, TX to Oscar Weston Holcomb and Mattie Celene Arnold on Aug 11, 1933. She is preceded in death by brother Donald W. Holcomb and grandson Jason W. Hunter.

She is survived by her sons Gregory N. and Vance A. Hunter and daughter Melinda C. Wright, brother Richard L. Holcomb, sister Maebelle Raiza, and grandsons Zachary P. and Stanley W. Hunter. She had a degree in Occupational Therapy from Texas State College for Women (Denton) and a Teacher Certificate from MTSU (she was the first Art teacher at Central High, Murfreesboro, TN). She had a Master of Arts from ASU and a Master of Fine Arts from U of GA in Fabric Design.

She loved the outdoors, nature, hiking and music and created her own beautiful surroundings in her art. She learned by doing and taught us persistance, patience, kindness, and determination. Her help and guidance was continuously provided to those she loved to better our health and well-being.

Her spirit lives on in us…. . A memorial was held February 24, 2019 in her home in Tempe.
