Obituary for Richard Gene Doyle Richard Gene Doyle passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him Friday, November 9th, 2018. He was preceded in death by his best friend and wife of 59 years, Norma Jean Harris Doyle. They spent most of their life in Lone Oak, KY, then many wonderful years in Old Kuttawa, KY and finishing strong with their children and grandchildren in Louisville, KY.

They were members at Lone Oak Church of Christ then Southeast Christian Church. Richard retired from Reynolds & Doyle, Inc. and was a gifted cabinet maker and leader of men. Richard was also a disabled U.S. Navy veteran that served our country well.

Richard’s passions were his faith, family, friends, sweets and the lake. He was lovingly known for the last several years as Granddad and was a wonderful influence on many young people. His wit was magnetic and comforting to everyone he met of any age.

Whether it was discussing scripture, working puzzles, watching UK games or hanging out on the porch at the lake, he made you feel it was all about you. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Elvis and Isabelle Crayne Doyle, and his brother Marvin Doyle. He was the loving father of Timothy Richard Doyle, and Todd Harris Doyle and his daughter-in-law Teresa.

He was an amazing grandfather to Jenna Grace Doyle, Logan Allen Doyle, Conor Harris Doyle and Conor’s wife Abby Jo Pruett Doyle. His family expresses special thanks to Jennifer Troutman, Brightstar caregiver Molly and friends who have spent loving quality time with Granddad over the last few years. He loved you all so much.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 15th at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville, Middletown, KY from 12PM to 2PM. Services will follow at 2PM. There will also be a service at Lone Oak Church of Christ in Paducah, KY on Saturday, November 17th at 1PM followed by a grave side service at Mt.
