Richard’s Obituary Richard Glenn Groff, 80, of Wheeler, went to where tomorrows are forever on February 11, 2019 in Wheeler at the Wheeler Nursing Rehabilitation. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 22, 2019, at Wheeler Nursing Rehabilitation with Rev. Richard Bartel, chaplain of BSA Hospice of the Southwest, officiating.

Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Richard was born December 24,1938 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Darwin M. and Margaret Steele Groff. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Lancaster.

Richard was a truck driver and lived in Avoca, Pennsylvania, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Amarillo, and for the last nine years, Wheeler. His friend, Jeanne Moore, had this to say about Richard, “To say it’s been a hard week at Wheeler Nursing Rehabilitation, would be an understatement! Heaven has gained another angel, our beloved Richard Groff!

We all called him handsome and he would just smile! Richard was so loved and will be deeply missed by employees and residents of Wheeler Nursing Rehabilitation, and employees of Parkview Hospital. I always told him, if there every comes a day that we cannot be together, we will put you in our hearts and keep you forever!

” A special thank you goes to BSA Hospice of the Southwest for their overwhelming support and kindness during this bittersweet time for Richard to be able to pass without pain. When Richard passed, he was surrounded with love by the nurses and CNA’S at Wheeler Nursing Rehabilitation. Memorials may be made to Wheeler Nursing Rehabilitation, Activities Fund, 1000 Kiowa Street, Wheeler, Texas 79096.
