Mary’s Obituary Mary Jane Goad, 74, of Pampa, passed away February 13, 2019 in Pampa. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Iglesia Nueva Vida, with Rev. Andrew Valdez, pastor of Little Rock Baptist Church in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, officiating.

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Goad was born August 6, 1944 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was a 1962 graduate of Hulbert High School in Hulbert, Oklahoma.

She married Mike Goad on April 6, 1963 in Pampa. Mary worked at Marie Foundation for eight years. She was the head custodian at Pampa High School and then was a school bus driver for Pampa ISD for 20 years.

She transported children to extracurricular activities, but her main route was for Baker Elementary Head Start and Pre-K. Mary loved to sew but her true loves were her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a member of New Life Church.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Goad of the home; two daughters, Pamela Tapp and husband Mike of Oklahoma, and Connie Estep of Pampa; two brothers, David Barnhart of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Jody Barnhart of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; four granddaughters, Erica Helms of Pampa, Jesse Walker and husband Ty of Norman, Oklahoma, Ann Alessi and wife Stephanie of New York, New York, and Emita Vara of Pampa; four grandsons, Damian Valdez of Cincinnati, Ohio, Andrew Valdez and wife Erica of Choateau, Oklahoma, Stephen Goad and wife Miranda of Inola, Oklahoma, and Brett Goad and wife Sheila of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and nineteen great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Goad, on March 5, 2018.
