Obituary for William Jerry “Dub” Welch William “Dub” Jerry Welch, 89, of Pampa went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2019 in Pampa. He entered this life on June 21, 1929 in Electra, Texas to Marion and Ester Welch. Dub had lived in Pampa since 1952 and recently moved to White Deer in 2016.

He retired from the oilfield where he had worked most of his life. On October 1, 1960, he married the love of his life, Virginia Claunch and enjoyed 55 wonderful years together until her passing on June 5, 2015. A year later, he found love again and married Sandy Blodgett on June 18, 2016 in Pampa.

Dub was a man of God who attended his church, First Pentecostal Holiness. He had a big heart, enjoyed telling jokes, loved life and his family dearly, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He spent as much time with them as he could and never played favorites loving each one of them unconditionally.

Dub always stayed busy and was known as a jack-of-all-trades, he could fix almost anything he set his mind too. Some of his favorite pastimes included fishing, going to rodeos, listening to country, bluegrass and gospel music and traveling. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Virginia Welch; two brothers; two sisters and a great grandson, Chafen Wilson. Those left behind to cherish a lifetime of memories are his wife, Sandra Welch of White Deer; daughter, Kathy Dennis and husband Dwight of Pampa; brother, Carol Welch of Pampa; two grandchildren, Michael Dennis of Pampa, Melody Wilson and husband Loney of Mobeetie; five great-grandchildren, Kade Wilson and wife Ana, Conor Wilson and wife Shelby, Chandon Portillo and husband Felipe, Dillon Forbes, Lily Forbes, Ben Wilson; six great great- grandchildren and one baby boy to make his debut in April and numerous nieces and nephews. Dub will be available for viewing on Thursday, February 14 from 3pm-8pm, Friday, February 15 from 9am- 8pm, Saturday, February 16 from 9am-8pm and Sunday, February 17 from 1pm-8pm.

Celebration of Life Graveside Services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Brother Albert Maggard officiating.
