Richard H. Grooms, 67, of Butler passed away on June 22, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Hospice. Born September 24, 1950 in Logan, WV, he was the son of Herman Cornelius Grooms and Alverta Smith Grooms. Rick served in the US Army during Vietnam.

He worked as a service worker at Meadows Manor. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan and enjoyed riding his bicycle. He loved life, he wanted everyone to be “Groominized” and will be missed by all, especially his little puppies, onyx, his cat and deeply missed by his fiancee.

Surviving are his daughter, Rikki Grooms of Alexandria, VA, his fiance, Karen Bryan of Butler, sister, Tonda (Arthur “Billy”) Pegram of Huntington, WV, one brother, Michael (Renee) Grooms of Oakland, CA his aunt Ida O. Grooms of Cleveland, OH and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Rev. Gregory Allen Grooms.

A memorial will be held privately by the family.
