Richard Harold Harris Richard Harold Harris born September 27, 1957 passed away quietly at home in Detroit, MI on April 25, 2018. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Belva (Mullins) Farris, his brother Jimmy Farris, his nephew Joshua Cody Farris and his life partner, Lynda Smith. Throughout his life, Richard enjoyed spending time with friends and family and making memories hunting and fishing with his father and brother.

Richard left behind his beloved daughter, Serena Spring Smith Farris (Raymond Miller) of Detroit, MI, step children Tony Smith of Salem, Arkansas and Lori Smith Moore of Detroit, MI, his two sisters Barbara (Elmer) Farley of Chapmanville, WV and Loretta (Ted) Robinson of Henlawson, WV and a host of nieces and nephews and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday April 30, 2018 at Akers-James Funeral Home at Logan, WV. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Sunday April 29, 2018 also at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www. jamesfh.com Akers-James Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
